Natural Dreadlocks
Pure Organic Dreadlocks
We firmly believe that organic, natural dreadlocks are the best. At Pure Hair, we use a method called 'Twist and Rip' and then a crochet hook to tighten them up upon installation, and then at maintenance appointments, we will use the hook to gently tidy them up and separate them.
We do not use wax or any chemicals. If you do have dreadlocks that have been installed or maintained with wax, we can use our specific deep cleanse shampoo and bi-carb mix to remove the wax and return your locks to the state they should be in - lovely, soft dreadlocks.

maintenance tips
It is REALLY important to wash your dreads and scalp if you want healthy, gorgeous, CLEAN dreads. We recommend washing your dreads no more than once a week with our organic mint shampoo. It's so important to look after your scalp and washing regularly keeps any scalp conditions from forming.
The next most important thing is to DRY your dreads, REALLY important, and we recommend using a hairdryer, especially in the colder weather and if you have dreads that are on the thicker side.
Once having dreads installed, people generally require maintenance once in the first 4 weeks, and then every 6-10 weeks after that. Some people require minimal maintenance sessions, while others need more. Dread Maintenance, when done regularly, generally takes 1.5 hours. However, some people’s dreads can be closer to 3 hours.
